Nebulon is our system of integrated predictions of functional interactions, mostly based on predicted operons and their reassociations.

The current interface to these predictions is at the Center for Genomic Sciences of the National University of Mexico, following this link.

The amount of prokaryotic genomes available is no longer a limitation. It is therefore prime time for checking the effect of different genomic characteristics in the quality of predictions by the several methods we use for inferring functional interactions from genomic context. Since the main source for these interactions is operon rearrangements, we are currently testing qualities of operon predictions by both, conservation of gene order, and intergenic distances, across the whole set of genomes.
